Buckfast Abbey Stained Glass

I've recently seen the beautiful stained glass at Buckfast Abbey, Buckfastleigh in Devon.

I've tried to post some pictures, but the machine doesn't like it and I've run out of patience. Will it work next time?

Frank Lloyd Wright

Thought I'd put something geometric in for a change. Down with curves!

Need a mirror?

A student has some large mirrors for the taking - I think about 6-7ft high by 1.5ft wide. If you are interested mail ivanjonesuk@yahoo.com.

Six, Eight, and Nine

Respectively, top to bottom, Six, Eight and Nine.

These were all done by leading, sometimes fusing. I'm trying to make Seven without leading, that's why it's getting difficult.

Stevens Competition entries

Two students have entered the annual Steven's Competition this year. They had to design and make a section of their design for a hospice window. Debbie won second prize two years ago, and highly recommended last year, so we are beginning to get a reputation here at Bristol School of Art. These two entries look like prize winners to me...will let you know how they get on. As always with the Steven's Competition, there is a real commission to be had.

More trees

So, what you've done is explore all the "partitions" of ten. They are all connected in a tree which has one root.
I've made a glass panel illustrating this, as shown above. I've also made ones for "six", "eight" and "nine". I'm trying to make one now for "seven", but it's a bit complicated.

More later if you're interested.
