A Really Good Competition...

Remember I mentioned the tenth anniversary of the Contemporary Glass Society (see link on right) and how they were going to be organising glass related celebrations in the South West?

Well, one such event is a selected exhibition to be held at Devon Guild of Craftsmen - and women! - in September. The deadline is February 1st, so get making and photographing and sending off applications...

Open Exhibition of Contemporary Glass
22nd September – 4th November 2007

A juried exhibition highlighting excellence and innovation in glasswork made during the last two years by professional artists.

Call for Entries
Applications are invited from professional makers working in the field of glass whose work demonstrates originality, creativity and high quality.

The distinguished panel of jurors will include;
Claire Beck -curator
David Reekie -glass artist
Helga Watkins-Baker – CGS Chairperson
Saffron Wynne - curator

The exhibition is a collaboration between the Contemporary Glass Society and the Devon Guild of Craftsmen to celebrate the 10th anniversary of CGS, coinciding with a major glass conference at the Eden Project 28th- 30th September 2007.
